Two GAIA-chaired symposia have been accepted by the Scientific Programme Committee of the World Congress of Psychiatry, to be held in Berlin from October 8th to 12th, 2017. In the first symposium, scientists from the University College Dublin, Ireland, will present findings from a new meta-analysis of deprexis, GAIA’s depression intervention. Christopher Beevers from the University of Texas, Austin (USA) will also present results of his recently completed US-based deprexis trial. Additionally, research on Veovita, GAIA’s integrated digital care project will be discussed. In the second symposium, results from two new trials will be presented: One examined deprexis as an adjunct to routine outpatient psychotherapy, and the second one investigated the effectiveness of a novel GAIA intervention, designed specifically for patients living with epilepsy. With researchers from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm and universities in Dublin, Austin, and Zürich, these symposia showcase the international scientific cutting edge on digital health innovations by our group and beyond.
